FOR TODAY...a page from the Simple Woman's Daybook

I am a huge fan of the Simple Woman's Daybook so I decided to create my own today. For anyone who loves bullet style presentations, you might enjoy it!

FOR TODAY
Outside my Window
... I can see my neighbor manicuring his lawn, again. His yard thrives on attention. Ours, well, thrives on neglect...

I am thinking... that lawn care is a waste of time. I'd be happy if we could paint our yard green and never have to worry about cutting the lawn again :)

I am thankful for... what promises to be a peaceful day - for a Monday.

From the kitchen... meatloaf for dinner sounds good. I haven't made it in weeks, so I think my family will enjoy.

I am creating... a homeschool room.

I am going... to do a couple loads of laundry, pick JR up from Pre-K, take him outside and create some driveway masterpieces with chalk & paint.

I am wearing... blue terry sweatpants & hoodie, no socks and no shoes. It is mid-June, I should be wearing shorts and a Tee but it's still only 56 degrees, Ugh!

I am reading... Glorious Appearing which is Book #12 in the Left Behind series. Guess I'm gonna have to find a new series to start soon!
I am hoping...we get the showers they are predicting so I won't have water the garden.

I am hearing... JR trying to teach the dog "high five" in the kitchen. Not sure what he's using for treats but it doesn't sound like he's making much progress.

Around the house... there are dishes on the counter that I took out of the dishwasher, and need to put away. A section of the wall in our bedroom that has been painted yellow, to be sure it's the right color, before I start the re-painting project later this week. A pile of ironing I should have done earlier, but didn't. A freshly vacuumed living room.

One of my favorite things... waking up to a reasonably clean house!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week... Finish my book, start painting our bedroom yellow, find curtains that match the walls and bedding. Also, start a rough draft of the Kindergarten curriculum for the fall, pack for the weekend trip to Bassett's Island and finish putting annual in the planters. Oh yeah, and take JR to the dentist.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

"when you gotta go, you gotta go"

Happy Monday everyone!
