I decided to go with a job that I won't complete today, but am relieved to FINALLY get it started! I saw a picture in a magazine a few months ago of bedroom facelift that included painting the walls bright yellow, and co-ordinated with blue painted furniture and accents. Well I have no intention of painting my furniture, but, since the bedroom carpet is blue, I decided to adapt the color scheme to meet our needs. Cap & I picked up the paint at the Depot over the weekend and while I was initially disappointed that it wasn't exactly the color we ordered, which is "Summer Harvest" (lower shade in photo)
, once I got going, I came to the conclusion that it will be bright enough anyway. I got the equivalent of 2 walls done, but realized before I haul all the heavy furniture back in place it would be best to do the trim. Of course I wasn't bright enough to pick that paint up yet, so when Cap gets home we're gonna head down the road to figure out what color will be best. Then tomorrow I can do the trim on the 1/2 of the room I already painted, put that furniture back in place, and start the other half. Not sure if it will all get done before the weekend, but, most of it will, yeah! Maybe next Tuesday I will tackle finding window treatments. Got the new comforter - blue & yellow of course, just need to find something for the windows and I'll be done!

Two coats done on this section (above) which is already much brighter than the wall that I only has one (below). As you can see from these pictures, it will be a nice change from the old beige walls!
Not to be outdone JR has been practicing his painting as well...the driveway:
