Tackle it Tuesday

More Tackle-It-Tuesday results to report! It's a good thing there's a Tuesday every week, 'cuz I'll never lack for projects that I put off too long that desperately need tacklin'.

Couldn't put it off much longer - I HAD to clean out the deck box that holds JR's smaller yard toys. It was getting to the point that I couldn't close the darn thing anymore. I had JR help me in hopes he'll remember that throwing stuff back in there at the end of the day just makes a big heapin' mess that SOMEBODY has to clean in order to find anything. We took everything out and sorted out what needed to be thrown away, as well as stuff that didn't belong in the box. I wasn't too surprised to find three pair of JR's socks in there! The kid HATES wearing socks, even in the winter. On winter days when I don't see him dress in the morning, I have to have him lift the cuffs of his pants before we leave for school, to be sure he's got socks on. But - I'm the same way so I can't get too upset with him...I think we have enough sidewalk chalk to cover the entire street from top to bottom, and still have enough left for some driveways! I'm not expecting the exercise will have any lasting impact with JR, but, a mother can dream can't she? Here's the now organized deck box.

I must say JR was more impressed with the fact that we found the elbow pad he had been looking for the past week, rather than the fact it was ALL neat and accessible!
