Outside my Window... the water meter is taking a reading

I am thinking... I really don't want to go outside in this heat - a very humid 96 degrees but JR wants to go in his pool.

High point of my day thusfar... ordering a mug for Father's Day with a new picture of Harry on it
Low point of my day thusfar... realizing this heatwave was gonna be here a few more days.

What's cookin'... chicken & roasted potates in the slow cooker

I am hoping...that it will be cool enough to have dinner on the deck tonite.

I am reading... A Survivor's Guide to Home Schooling

I am hearing... the sound of the window fan (Didn't expect this heatwave so the air conditioners aren't in yet!)

If you stopped by my house right now, you'd find... JR at the table eating yogurt & grapes for lunch, a few loads of laundry, a clean kitchen for once, an exhausted dog who isn't enjoying the heat, a pile of mail to sort through and a very hot living room.

I'm really, really happy that... we got to spend a quiet weekend at the Cove.

What I'm hoping to accomplish this week: Playdate with Mitch, Swimming lessons and Bible Classes, JR's Pre-K graduation, lots of weeding, fix my lighthouse birdfeeder, rearranging the yard toys & structures, plant some hot peppers and a few more green peppers, and some good quality JR time...
