Okay, so the last few Mondays I've done "For Today" from the Simple Woman's Daybook
and as fun as it's been, I was thinking I needed to modify the format to make it more "me". I mean, let's face it - NOBODY cares what I'm wearing today (well, except perhaps for my husband ;) right?

And so, here is the first installment of:
A day in the life...
Monday 2 June 2008
Outside my Window... the dog is taking a snooze in the sun.
I am thinking... it should be mandatory that EVERYONE gets to take an afternoon siesta in sun.
High point of my day thusfar... getting groceries done while JR was in school

Low point of my day thusfar... missing the opportunity to nap while JR did.
What's cookin'... linguica casserole & fresh corn on the cob
I am hoping... to get to bed early tonite - it was a very busy weekend and it's caught up with me.
I am reading... the same book I started last week - Awakening Mercy - but it's almost done!

I am hearing... lots of birds in the front yard.
If you stopped by my house right now, you'd find... dishes in the sink, a relatively clean bathroom, a still unmade bed (shhhh, don't tell my mother!), a pile of stuff we need to bring to the boat this week, an unusually neat den, and a lived in living room.
I'm really, really happy that... I got to see my brother from Oklahoma this weekend.
What I'm hoping to accomplish this week: Laundry (as always), finish painting the trim in the den & bedroom, reorganize the deck furniture, get the sunflowers planted for JR's "house" out in the back yard, pick up our shellfishing permit, and get some bills paid.

A good caption for this picture would be?
Okay so this is the interactive part - please leave me suggestions on a caption by clicking on "comments" below. Did I say please?
Happy Monday everyone...

That is such a funny picture - almost looks like Skip is saying "well my friend, that's what I would do"
Or it would make a good political pic - "so that's why I am voting for _________ (fill in the blank)"
Or, "ya see, I couldn't help it, I had to pee in the pool"
I was thinking "I promise if you go back in I won't...."
Skip says..."Ahhh, Come on, it's not that cold!"
