Tackle it Tuesday

As usual I had many choices to pick from - but settled on two. The first was the den. A few weeks ago I painted our bedroom and it inspired me to give the den a face lift. Best part is, while we were away Memorial Day weekend, LTDMi painted the room for us. The only thing he didn't do was the trim and window frame because I wasn't sure what color I wanted to go with. Well slowly I got the trim and window done, except for one corner of the room, some touch ups. and replacing the switch plates & outlet covers. I'm not sure the picture will show the before and after very well, but here goes:

Now the second task took most of the day. I was DETERMINED to catch up with the laundry. See, for the past few weeks, I've had alot going on, and the laundry is just one of those dreaded household chores that is really, really easy to ignore. In my defense, it's not that I totally ignored the job, in fact, a few times, I almost caught up, but then I regressed again. Well the family was complaining they were out of socks, so I had two choices; buy everyone new socks, or Tackle the laundry piles. Don't laugh, I was tempted to run out to Target, but in the end, the rational side of me prevailed. Here are the two piles before I started:

In case you're wondering, the piles amounted to loads of darks, 3 loads of lights, a load of towels, a load of sheets & and finally one load of just throw rugs. It's all done, finally, and here's the result:
