I resisted but there is no escaping...

Tackle It Tuesday!

Since learning this morning that it appears we will finally be getting a court date for JR's baby brother H3's adoption, I have spent the entire morning just sitting...partly because of the hot & hazy weather we're having, rendering us all useless, but mostly because I'm vascilating between euphoria and fear. Euphoria because if indeed we get a court date, it could mean that after 3.5 years, two brothers will finally be home together in the USA. Fear because the judge will make the hearing the most difficult part of this journey, and nothing is final 'til the judge makes her decision. ANYTHING can happen...

In any case, I finally convinced myself to think positively and that I'd better do SOMETHING productive today. The best I could do was the ironing pile. The truth is, since Cap hasn't had the need for Dockers & Golf shirts the past few weeks, I haven't had the need to iron. Makes perfect sense to me, right? Well, yeah, but then today he went to meet with a business contact about a possible position with his company, and suddenly I realized that I needed to tackle this pile so he had something "business casual' hanging in his closet again.

A mere ninety minutes later, as they say, "it's all good" - and the couch is cleared for JR & I to watch a DVD while we avoid the heat outside. If I'm lucky I will convince him we both need naps - especially since his cousin Drew(actually it's his nephew who is one month younger than him, but we say cousin, it's just easier that way) is coming today to spend at least a week with us, and when they are together, there is never a dull moment...
