On disenchantment...

So Cap & Jr are on a three day guys only camping trip. I am SO excited about being free of my normal responsibilities and having the house to myself for three days! So excited in fact, that I made a list of all the stuff that I won't have to do/see/experience while they are gone:

• No checking to see if the toilet seat is up or down
• No making my bed
• No cooking - I'm living on cucumbers, and steamed veggies!
• No sharing the remote control
• No asking "did you wipe and wash your hands?"
• Nobody barging into the bathroom EVERY time I use it!
• No wet towels on the bathroom floor.
• No dirt rings around the tub.
• No milk spills.
• No coffee grinds left in the sink.
• No tripping over shoes that are left in front of the deck slider.
• Nobody spilling bubbles on the recently cleaned kitchen floor.
• No Cartoons!
• Nobody telling me they are tired of the Waltons DVDs at night!
• No conversations that involve tooting or burping or any othe body functions.
• No laundry - one person simply doesn't generate enough laundry in 3 days to run the washer!
• No snoring sounds keeping me up at night.
• No warm body near mine all night.
• No cute little face announcing "good morning" mommy at Seven-zero-zero each morning.
• Nobody asking "do you need a big hug" at least once an hour.
• Nobody to play Truth or Lies with at the dinner table.
• Nobody to make my coffee in the morning
• Nobody to walk outside with after dinner on the daily vegetable & flower gardens tour.
• Nobody to sit near the pond with as the fish enjoy their daily meal.
• No invites to the hottub before bed.
• Nobody to share the latest email jokes with.
• Nobody whispering "I love you" in my ear each morning.

Hmmmm...so maybe 3 days without my guys isn't quite the glitz & glitter it appears to be. I'll survive just nicely, but, truth be known, it just isn't the same without them!
