"Well, that was not a good idea!"
I'll have to admit pink isn't my favorite color, but at the same time, I don't dislike it. It's okay for me once in a while, but pink shoes, or bags, or dresses don't work for me. Something else that DEFINETELY doesn't work for me is pink walls - specifically pink magic markered walls!
Last night we notice a huge - and I mean huge - area of the basement wall that somehow got colored pink. The artists were "innocent" enough to even leave the marker right near the spot - or perhaps they intended to return to finish the entire wall. Who knows? I sure didn't at the time because both alleged artists were already sleeping when we discovered it. The only other time JR had used vertical surfaces as canvas was when we first brought him home - he was 21 months, and it was the end of boating season. We had about 3 or 4 weekends on the boat before it got too cold, but when we were cleaning the boat out for the winter, we discovered several pen scribbles on the walls of our cabin - right at JR's height.
Of course now that he has had his cousin here for the past week, the two of them are clearly becoming partners in crime. This morning during breakfast I held up a marker and asked the boys if they knew where it was we wrote with such things. In unison they said "Paper". Then I asked if they thought the walls were a good place to write. In unison they said nothing - for about 10 seconds, then pointed to each other and said "He did it first"... Fast Forward to noon time when we got home from VBS. It was very warm and as we walked from the van to the house they asked if they could go in the pool. I thought for a second and told them it was surely hot enough, but since we had walls to clean, the pool would have to wait. Two groans.
Magic Erasers in hand, they spent about 15 minutes scrubbing and managed to remove all but very faint traces of the masterpiece. On the way upstairs for lunch, JR turned to Drew and said, "well that was NOT a good idea".
Hmmm, could it be they actually learned something here? A mother can surely hope so!

What on earth is Drew wearing? I hope is has something to do with VBS!
Those suspenders belong down here in Podunk with the rednecks.
Oops, didn't read the post prior. Nevermind. :)
See, now you know why he got first prize!
Don't you just love magic erasers? I use them all over the house, and Boyd isn't even old enough to master the art of wall drawing yet!
Sounds like the boys learned their lesson. Cute!
