Anyone who lives in New England knows Tornado's are a rarity but yesterday there were at least two confirmed incidents not far from our town. We were spared, but got buckets of rain - just ask my husband who fell victim (see yesterdays postings for details if you missed it.)
Today he left on a camping trip with JR to NH and before he left he mentioned he was glad that the nasty weather was yesterday, and the trip hadn't been affected. Well this afternoon my oldest son told me I needed to turn the TV on - to see the reports of a severe weather in NH, including a tornado that ripped through a town not far from the highway the camping entourage would have been taking. Sure enough, the tornado struck Epsom, NH at about the time they would have been driving northward, about 10 miles to the west.
It does seem the Tornado is following him, so if anyone know where I can find a Tornado whisperer, please let me know!

That is wild. Never heard of tornados up there. We don't think much about 'em here. Just listen for the alarm, wake the kids and head for the closet in the middle of the house. You guys have a great basement at least.
I was wondering if you built basements in the NE when I saw on the news about the tornado(s)! We have them here but do as other poster said but we go to our basement... my son is a weather junkie lately and always has to know about watches or warnings - yours must be one in the making! Oh my, they are so alike in many ways! LOL (just a few years apart)
