Contrary to popular opinion, the world is NOT made of cheese

it's made of Rice Krispies! For Creative Arts today we had a craft that we could eat - globes made from Rice Krispies! It was a great time all around!  Best part was, it tied into both our Bible lesson (creation of the world) and Social Studies (It's a big world). After we melted the marshmallows and butter, we divided the mixture up into two - one slightly more than the other. The one with more we added blue food coloring - since there is more water that land of course) , and the smaller one, green coloring.  (I still have blue hands so don't forget to spray your hands with Pam
Spray first - since it keeps the color from staying on your hands and keeps the mixture from sticking as well). Then we mixed a small scoop of green with a larger one of blue and shaped into balls! Fun, quick (35 minutes from start to cleanup) and yummy!  Then you add the Krispies and mix well. JR mixed the green, and I mixed the blue.

That's a very creative art lesson. And, the fact that it is edible is even better!
