A dog, is a dog, is a vegetable?!

My poor Sabaka. Nobody will ever accuse him of being the most obedient or the smartest dog around, but he is as loyal as the day in long, and is a great snuggler. He also provides us with some comedic relief...

A few days ago we had brought in another big bin of vegetables from the garden and decided to pickle some of the cucumbers, and freeze some carrots. All the peels, and carrot tops, etc. were put in another bin, and put outside to be taken to the compost pile, along with a few cucumbers (at one time we had more than 30 in the fridge) that didn't get rotated, and had begun to soften. A little later I went onto the deck for some reason or another and found the dog resting. Like I said, he's not the brightest, but, he's good for a laugh!

It's hard to see from the angle, but in the first picture he's actually sleeping, resting his head on the rim of the bin. In the second, I believe he noticed he was the center of attention, and tried to recover from his mistake..
