Yep, we managed to get the paperwork we needed for the judge, and overnighted it to our Attorney! YAH! She got it yesterday and said she was going to review it all, then send it to her translator electronically. She hopes to get the translation back by Monday, then will DHL it to our friend Irina in Russia. Irina will then bring it to a Russian Notary to have it all notarized and authenticated and hand it off to our friend Boris. Boris will then take it to the judge for us. Since he retains a power of attorney for us, he is the one who must deliver it in person, otherwise, Irina could do it herself. They say it takes a village to raise a child, but from our 3.5 year experience in this adoption, it is taking an international village just to help us get our child!
Keep us in your prayers and thoughts, please over the next few weeks as the paper is making its trail to its destination. Pray also that the judge is satisfied and assigns us a court date! Our attorney is very hopeful, so....
When I found out the Russian Supreme Court ruled in our favor in early July, I thought MAYBE I'd get to spend my 50th birthday in Russia - exactly where we were when Mike turned 50! When that didn't appear to be happening, I hoped to be there for H3's fourth birthday on 1 Sept. When we realized THAT wouldn't happen, I stopped dreaming of dates again...but now I'm thinking our Anniversary is the end of October.... Stop me, will ya?

I'm not stopping ya! Keep dreaming big, I know it makes for harder disappointments, but at this point, I say...Stay Positive...We're pulling for Sept. 1 too!!

Isn't it great how everyone comes together to help when there is a child involved - especially with such a story that we all have?
Wouldn't that be incredibly awesome to be back in Russia at the same time. Given we'd be there a month, we would HAVE to be there at the same time for at least part of the time!
Maybe she's gonna figure if she has to assign court dates, she might as well get us AND you off her back! LOL
