Flashback Friday
2 August 2008
I was originally going in a totally different direction with my FF theme, but since my SIL posted about her anniversary tomorrow, I switched gears.
This picture was taken 11 years ago tomorrow. It's me with my youngest brother in the hotel room right before their wedding. The plan was to put this photo, side by side with a picture of the two of us taken in the same pose, when he was 5 and I was 15. Well, to make a long story short, one of us lost the first picture - and while I won't say who lost it I'll give you a hint - it wasn't me :)
Still makes a cool picture so....
And since I'm on the me and him theme for now - he's another of us, taken in 1969. I'm on the left (with the hideous bow on my head - what WAS my mother thinking?), my sister is in front of me, then our brother is in the middle. On the right is my childhood BF, and her younger sister. My mom made both our dresses (funny, SHE didn't have an ugly bow!) and if you look close enough, you'll may or may not be able to see that my little brother is wearing TIGHTS! He can use this picture some day when he's in therapy!

Theme two: back to school.
Since I'm up to my elbows getting ready to start homeschool in the fall, I couldn't help put post this picture. It's a picture of a frame I gave my oldest, LTD for Christmas. There's a picture of him on the first day of preschool school in 1985 then a poem that reads:
Life gave me a little brother
To teach me about life
he loves me
aggravates me
And gives me strength & strife.
Thank Goodness for my brother.
He is as special as can be.
Don't mess with my little brother
-or you'll have to mess with me.
Beneath the poem is a picture on his first day at the same Preschool in 2005 - twenty years later.
These two have such an incredible bond, it cannot be put into words. They are best friends, and they love each other SO MUCH. When I'm not in a good mood, I need only watch the two of them interact, and I instantly have reason to smile!

OK, never seen that pic of Mack Daddy. He's lookin' alot like a monkey in that one!

So really he lost the orig. pic? I'll see if I can find it.

(when I don't know how to spell a word I abbriviate it) BTW I DO know how to spell picture, just not orig. Spelling is my disability, I think I should have a sticker for my car for special parking because of it. I'm drinking Shock coffee right now with 50% more caffine. I think i might be drunk. That is why I am babbling. Don't tell Grandma. shhh.

You're too funny. I won't tell Grandma. As it is I had to run out and buy her a box of tissues after I showed her your post :) You know her, she just can't stop the faucet once it starts!

As for the picture, I got the ugly bow, he got the tights, and what did Di get? Hmmmmm, guess they loved her best!
